OVERNIGHT PARKING BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED

Whether you are a beginner who needs basic instruction or you are a longtime player who wants to tune up your game, the Town of Tonawanda provides an instructional program for you. 

Registration Information

On-line and in person registration will begin on May 3, 2023 for Residents and Non-Residents. In person registration will only be available at the Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks & Recreation Office, 299 Decatur Rd. Students must meet the age requirement by August 2, 2023.
For ages 6-17, classes meet twice a week for seven weeks. Adults classes meet once a week for the seven weeks. For more information click on the Tennis information flyer below or contact the main office at 716-831-1001.

Information for the 2023 Tennis Progra will be added soon - Please fill out and bring to our main offices at 299 Decatur Road to complete the registration process.

 

2023 Fees are set at $60 for children 6-17 and $65 for adults. Space is limited for each class.

Beginner

Students must bring their own racket, water bottle and wear sneakers.  Skills needed:  No prior experience needed. Class description:  Basic rules and tennis etiquette will be taught.  Basic strokes such as forehand, backhand, and serving will be the main focus.   Scoring, singles play and an introduction to doubles will also be a focus (6-7 Beginners will play with a shortened court, serving from the service line.)

Adult Co-Ed

Skills taught depend on the abilities of the individuals in the class.
