Educational System and Facilities

Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District
The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District is administered by a five-member elected School Board. The Administration Building is located at: 1500 Colvin Blvd.,Tonawanda, NY 14223

The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District, known locally as Ken-Ton, includes the Village of Kenmore and the vast majority of the Town of Tonawanda. It serves a student population of over 7,200 students. Ken-Ton is one of the largest in New York State and has continued to earn its reputation for academic excellence. The district is known for its large number of state and national recognition awards and ranks among the most progressive school districts in the nation.

Sweet Home School District
The northwest section of the town is served by the Sweet Home School District. The Tonawanda portion of the Sweet Home School District contains one elementary school. The middle, junior and senior high schools are situated in the Town of Amherst. 

The town has four parochial elementary schools and three parochial high schools with a total enrollment of approximately 2,400 pupils, and The Charter School for Applied Technologies providing K-12 education for just over 1,600 students.

Adult Education and Recreation
Additional facilities include extensive programs for adult education and recreation. Seven colleges and universities are located within a 20-mile radius of the town including the State University of New York at Buffalo and Buffalo State College. The Ken-Ton Community Education program provides life-long learning opportunities for both residents and non-residents.
